Learning About Business Email Marketing

In Uncategorized on August 24, 2009 at 10:07 pm

14 weeks down.

A summer full of one-to-one marketing.

I would have never guessed that in the matter of one summer, I would have learned so much about something I thought I already was a master of: email.

The world of business email is more than a simple note here or there. Outlook is used all the time, but when it comes to reaching the customer base, businesses are using tools such as ExactTarget to reach their customers in an engaging way.

As a gen Y consumer, its important for business to listen to who I am and work on reaching me with relevant information. Although more time consuming and difficult, it makes the business more sophisticated in the long run.

I’ve decided to move my blog over to Google. It is easier to use for the simple blogging I want to do.

See you there: http://kmschroeder.blogspot.com

Ron Ernst, an Indianapolis-author, came and spoke to our SIFE team on Monday. In his book, The Conscious Entrepreneur, one of his tips on moving into Stage 3 leadership is to engage in continual personal development. In that discussion, he challenged us to look at the impact we have on others. All too often we forget what influence we have on others. In the Bible, we are reminded that “iron sharpens iron”. Those who around us are being influenced by us and they are effecting us at the same time. The challenge is for us to take the time to step back and see how we effecting those around us. Are we leading and guiding people in the best way? This places a huge burden and challenge on the leader in the process.
